An electronic textile embedded smart cementitious composite

چکیده
Structural health monitoring (SHM) using self-sensing cement-based materials has been reported before, where nano-fillers have incorporated in cementitious matrices as functional sensing elements. A percolation threshold is always required order for conductive modified concrete to be useful SHM. Nonetheless, the best pressure/strain sensitivity results achieved any matrix are <0.01 MPa−1. In this work, we introduce first-time novel partially reduced graphene oxide based electronic textile (e-textile) embedded plain and well polymer-binder-modified SHM applications. These e-textile composites independent of due interconnected fabric inside host matrix. The piezo-resistive response was measured by applying direct cyclic compressive loads (ranging from 0.10 3.90 MPa). pressure 1.50 MPa−1 an ultra-high gauge factor 2000 obtained system structure with e-textiles. new magnitude higher than state-of-the-art nanoparticle composites. showed mechanical stability durability over long-term compression tests 1000 cycles. Additionally, a two time-constant model used validate experimental on decay

متن کاملSmart-Its: An Embedded Platform for Smart Objects
Computer and communication hardware has become so small and inexpensive to consider their embedding in everyday objects. As a consequence it is expected that networked smart objects will give rise to new types of application and in particular such that are more tightly coupled with activity in the physical world. Recent years have seen many design examples for smart objects but for lack of a su...
متن کاملSmart Coat with a Fully-Embedded Textile Antenna for IoT Applications
The Internet of Things (IoT) scenario is strongly related with the advance of the development of wireless sensor networks (WSN) and radio frequency identification (RFID) systems. Additionally, in the WSN context, for a continuous feed, the integration of textile antennas for energy harvesting into smart clothing is a particularly interesting solution when the replacement of batteries is not eas...
متن کاملTowards an Embedded Visuo-Inertial Smart Sensor
In neurological system of primates, changes in posture are detected by the central nervous system through a vestibular process. This process, located in inner ear, coordinates several system outputs to maintain stable balance, visual gaze, and autonomic control in response to changes in posture. Consequently the vestibular data is merged to other sensing data like touch, vision,.... The visuo-i...
متن کاملCommunications in Electronic Textile Systems
Electronic textiles (e-textiles) are emerging as a novel method for constructing electronic systems in wearable and large area applications. This new type of processing system merges textile and electronic technologies. This paper studies the communication requirements between the computing and sensing elements of an e-textile. This communication is studied through the construction of a prototy...
